IdeaStudios is a digital adventure creator, based in Cluj. With more than 10 years of experience and over 4000 games created, they are highly recommended when it comes to delivering premium content both their audience and their top-rated partners from all over the world. Which such a great portfolio and brand personality, the identity had to be refreshed. Our mission, after enjoying a couple of their games, was to rebrand the original Idea, so that the overall visual identity would match the experience, the mood, and feel of the team and of the brand.

Our Approach

In our work, everything starts with the brief, with understanding the client’s needs, vision, and expectations. This is how we got the idea of using an emblematic character as part of the logo, as well as declining it in different visuals needed as part of communication. When going on a digital adventure, having someone to guide you through makes the difference. In designing the character, we wanted to have a digital touch and also a young, positive vibe, as kids are the end consumers of the games designed by IdeaStudios.

The importance of personality

As IdeaStudios has two different types of stakeholders, our challenge was to find the perfect mix in addressing both of them, while visually expressing the brand’s core values and personality. On the one hand, it was the business approach needed, on the other hand, the end-consumer: children and teenagers. From the beginning of the project and to the very end, we had in mind the two audiences. The overall mood and feel of the brand, from color palette and backgrounds, to typography and styles, had to be colorful, but professional, fun, but also the business.

This is how the brand got a new personality and a new persona which will lead to creating an emotional connection with the audience.

Taking this into perspective, the brand has now a “face” that you can trust and relate to. The brand mascot did breathe new life into the business, guiding now the clients through digital adventures that entertain and challenge kids all over the world.

Color Palette

The power of purple

The purple of the color palette combines the calm stability of blue and the fierce energy of red while expressing creativity, wisdom, dignity. Having a cheerful and vivid mascot allowed us to use a more neutral font. In this way, the balance is achieved and when a situation requires, the two elements can be used as a stand-alone brand asset.
