Al-Kimiya is more than a simple beauty product brand: besides skincare, it is a wellness ritual that embraces a holistic approach promoting a wellness ritual for the mind, body, and soul in order to bring harmony in our lives.
Based on centuries-old recipes, the products are carefully created with natural ingredients, so that their effect is as promised. And so should the brand look and communicate.
Our
Our mission was to handle the creative approach for a brand that stands by its core values, a brand that was born from founders’ passion for healthy living which translates into a perfect skin glow. Starting with the core elements, mission, vision and values, the story of the brand started to take shape towards the visual and identity, packaging and product photography sessions.
The
Al-kīmiyā is inspired by the wisdom and ancient traditions of the Arabs, who were the first to study alchemy and to create all-natural cosmetics. The brand focuses on enriching customers’ life by studying old recipes and designing the skin care they need, based on natural ingredients only.
When creating the logotype, we took into account the fact that Al-kimiya has in its core the belief that the parts of something are intimately interconnected and explicable only by reference to the whole. This is why each letter of the brand’s name can be identified within the logomark, but it all makes sense when seeing the whole. The color palette was inspired by the Arabian 1001 nights, and popular Arabic spices, mixing shades of blue with yellow and orange.
The
Al-kīmiyā is about the inner glow and the way their products enhance the natural wellbeing of clients while returning to the origins of the first natural cosmetics created by alchemists, reinventing and adapting them to the modern women’s needs. And this is exactly what we wanted to capture in our photographs: natural beauty with a pinch of nature, in the background.
The
Clean, airy and stylish, having the products and their benefits in the foreground – this is what we focused the web design on. Taking into account the fact that more and more purchases and made not only online, but on mobile, special attention was given to the responsiveness of the website and design, so that the user’s experience would be a great one.
The
We know that our job is done and successful when we see a wide smile on our clients’ faces. What made them happy, besides the design itself, was the high attention we pay to details, since this is what makes the difference when it comes to a successful brand. Keeping clients happy is what keeps us growing.
